Delhi University Reveals Academic Calendar for Newly Introduced MA in Hindu Studies Program. Explore the Details Here.

The academic calendar for Delhi University’s recently launched MA in Hindu Studies program has been revealed, signaling the start of classes on Monday. The newly established Centre for Hindu Studies was officially inaugurated, featuring Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh leading a traditional ‘havan’ ceremony attended by dignitaries.

DU VC remarked, “The research conducted at the Centre for Hindu Studies should serve as a benchmark for other universities in the country.

SKILL-BASED SUBJECTS TO BE TAUGHT

The center’s curriculum will encompass a Major in Hindu Studies, accompanied by Minors in Political Science, Computer Science, and Commerce. Furthermore, the initial semester will integrate skill-based subjects like Manuscriptology and Data Analytics.

Malhotra, the joint director of the Centre for Hindu Studies, stated, ”The emphasis will be on imparting the essence of Hindu Dharma and Darshan, while also assisting students in building a career in other domains within their chosen Minor discipline.” She underscored that the MA in Hindu Studies aims to provide students with training and foster critical thinking about the core principles of Hindu Dharma.

The inauguration was graced by the presence of Prakash Singh, the director of South Campus, Amitava Chakraborty, the dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Om Nath Bimali, the joint director of the Centre for Hindu Studies.
