The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the registration process for CTET 2024. Aspiring candidates can complete their registrations on the official website, ctet.nic.in, with the deadline for application submissions set for November 23.

CBSE will conduct the 18th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on Sunday, January 21, 2024. This nationwide examination will be available in 135 cities, offering test-takers the choice of 20 different languages.

Here’s a Step-by-Step Guide to Applying for CTET January 2024:

  1. Visit the official CTET website at ctet.nic.in.
  2. Click on the “Apply Online” link to access the application portal.
  3. Fill out the Online Application form with all required information.
  4. Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature.
  5. Pay the examination fee using a debit/credit card or net banking.
  6. Don’t forget to print the Confirmation page for your personal records and future reference.



In the CTET examination, all questions will be presented in the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format. Each question will offer four alternatives, from which you must choose the most appropriate answer. For every correct response, you will be awarded one mark, and there will be no penalty for incorrect answers.

The CTET examination is divided into two papers:

(i) Paper I is designed for individuals aspiring to teach classes I to V. (ii) Paper II is intended for those who plan to become teachers for classes VI to VIII.


For Paper I or Paper II of the CTET examination, General and OBC (NCL) candidates are obligated to remit a fee of Rs 1,000. If they decide to take both Paper I and Paper II, the combined examination fee is Rs 1,200. Conversely, SC, ST, and Differently Abled Persons (Divyang) candidates are required to submit Rs 500 for either Paper I or Paper II, with the fee rising to Rs 600 if they choose to appear in both Paper I and Paper II.
