Nikon has introduced its latest camera, the Nikon Z f, to the Indian market. This full-frame mirrorless camera is poised to revolutionize the photography experience with its cutting-edge features and capabilities. The new Nikon Z f camera is a significant addition to the brand’s mirrorless lineup and is powered by the EXPEED 7 image-processing engine, the same powerhouse found in Nikon’s flagship models, the Z 9 and Z 8. It boasts a 24.5-megapixel CMOS sensor, and the company is highlighting the camera’s impressive video and photography capabilities. The Nikon Z f sets itself apart with its in-camera recording capabilities in H.265 10-bit format, along with support for N-Log and HLG recording. This allows users to capture intricate details, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of subjects, including weddings and wildlife photography.
Additionally, the Z f incorporates focus point VR, a feature that reduces subject blur, even when the subject is positioned at the periphery of the frame. This enhances the camera’s usability in various shooting scenarios. Nikon claims that users will experience impressive autofocus (AF) performance, with support for 3D-tracking in photo mode and subject-tracking in video mode. The camera can even detect small human faces, ensuring precision in diverse shooting conditions, including low-light environments.
The Nikon Z f features a Vari-angle monitor, allowing photographers to compose shots from various angles. Moreover, the touch-operated camera in the Z series simplifies adjustments while framing shots. The camera supports recording in 14fps RAW and 30fps jpeg, as well as 10-bit HEIF for richer color depth and detail. For videographers, the company has added support for 4K video recording at 60fps, which is possible for up to 125 minutes, and in-camera 10-bit N-Log as well as HLG recording options.
