Crucial Guidelines for Exam Day

With the examination day for various competitive tests drawing near, candidates should make thorough preparations and acquaint themselves with vital guidelines and procedures to ensure a seamless and stress-free experience. Here are key instructions to remember:

Examination Duration and Reporting Time

The examination has a total duration of 120 minutes, and candidates should plan to be at the examination venue for approximately 180 minutes.

This extra time accounts for activities like sign-in procedures, collecting admit cards, and reviewing examination instructions.

Test Language

All tests, except for the English & English Comprehension test, will be accessible in both English and Hindi. Candidates have the flexibility to answer any question at their discretion within the allotted 120-minute timeframe.

Question Structure

The examination will consist entirely of multiple-choice questions, with each question offering five answer options, only one of which is correct. Candidates should make their choices with care, and it’s worth noting that there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Types of Questions

It’s important for candidates to understand that the question types provided in the handout serve as examples and are not an exhaustive list, underscoring the importance of thorough preparation.

Reporting Information

Candidates will locate the examination date, reporting time, and venue details on their respective admit cards. To prevent any last-minute uncertainties, it is highly recommended that candidates visit the examination venue one day prior to the scheduled date to verify its exact location.

Admission Card and Photo Specifications

On the examination day, candidates are required to bring their admission cards with a recent passport-sized photograph securely attached. It is advisable for this photograph to closely resemble the one uploaded during the application process.

Attire Guidelines

The attire guidelines for the examination mandate light, zipperless, and buttonless clothing to prevent the concealment of prohibited items or communication devices. Candidates should refrain from wearing clothing with oversized buttons, badges, brooches, etc. Furthermore, shoes and socks are not allowed; instead, candidates must wear sandals or slippers. Those who wear traditional/religious attire or have disabilities (PwBD) should arrive at the examination center well in advance to facilitate proper security checks.

Restricted Items

The use of calculators, books, notes, cell phones, or any other communication devices is strictly forbidden throughout the examination.

Photo Identification Requirements

Candidates must also present an original photo identity proof and a photocopy of it. Both the admission card and the photocopy of the ID proof must be submitted to the invigilator as directed. The information handout contains a list of acceptable photo IDs for your reference. Adhering to these instructions will help ensure a seamless and successful examination experience. Adequate preparation and knowledge are vital for optimal performance on the day of the exam.
