Rajnath Singh, the Minister of Defense, is poised to officiate the grand opening of the Bharat Drone Ascendancy Expo 2023, taking place at the Hindan Aerial Encampment situated in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Complementing this event, Rajnath Singh, the Defense Minister, is scheduled to officially commission the C-295 airlift vessel into the Indian Air Force. Distinguished military figures, including Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, who serves as the Chief of the Indian Air Force, will be present to mark this momentous occasion.
Specifics regarding the C-295 Aircraft
The Indian Air Force has celebrated a momentous achievement with the arrival of its inaugural C-295 aircraft, signifying a remarkable juncture in its modernization efforts. This significant procurement transaction, valued at Rs 21,935 crore, was sealed between New Delhi and Airbus Defence and Space a couple of years ago. Airbus has assumed the responsibility of delivering the initial batch of 16 aircraft, ensuring their ‘fly-away’ readiness, a process expected to reach completion by the year 2025. The intricate orchestration of manufacturing and assembly for the ensuing 40 aircraft will be overseen by an industrious collaboration between Airbus and Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) in India.
