The Google Pixel 8 Pro webpage is currently live, allowing users to explore the smartphone well in advance of its official launch. The global launch date for the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro is set for October 4. In anticipation of this grand unveiling, the tech giant is generously providing a comprehensive preview of the Pixel 8 Pro’s design, answering all your questions before the launch date arrives.

This official Pixel 8 Pro page, discovered by Jose Ruben and brought to our attention by Mishaal Rahman on X, offers an immersive 360-degree view of the smartphone. As previous leaks have suggested, the Pixel 8 Pro maintains a design similar to its predecessor, the Pixel 7 Pro, featuring a horizontal camera bar on the rear and a hole-punch display on the front. The back of the device continues to house three cameras.

The webpage also features informative markers to assist users and potential customers in understanding the smartphone’s exterior design. However, Google has not yet officially disclosed the device’s specifications. This design continuity aligns with Google’s strategic focus, as it aims to maintain attention on its debut foldable smartphone, the Pixel Fold, which is already available in select markets.

The page also showcases the Pixel 8 Pro’s striking color palette, offering three elegant options: Sky (blue), Porcelain (white), and Licorice (black). Observant eyes will notice slimmer bezels surrounding the front screen, enhancing the device’s overall aesthetic. A notable change this year is the rear camera bar, which now shares a harmonious color scheme with the rest of the body, exuding a premium and minimalist vibe. The rear cameras are neatly nestled within a sleek, elongated pill-shaped cutout. Interestingly, Google has disclosed the inclusion of a temperature sensor on the device’s back, hinting at exciting software and AI-driven functionalities yet to be unveiled.

According to prevailing leaks and rumors, the Pixel 8 Pro is likely to boast a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz LTPO OLED display. The front panel is expected to house an 11-megapixel selfie camera, while the rear camera system may comprise three formidable sensors: a 50-megapixel OIS-enabled primary camera, a 64-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 49-megapixel telephoto lens. The device’s construction is anticipated to blend elements of glass and metal, maintaining continuity with the design language of its predecessor, the Pixel 7 Pro.

Under the hood, the Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to be powered by the Google Tensor G3 SoC and a robust 4,950mAh battery with support for 27W wired charging. As seen previously, the package is expected to omit the charger. Key features also include a Titan security chip, a generous 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.

It’s worth noting that the price of the Pixel 8 Pro is anticipated to see an increase compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 7 Pro, which launched at Rs 84,999.

As we look ahead, Google is not the only brand gearing up for next-generation flagship releases. Apple is also set to launch the iPhone 15 series on September 12, promising an exciting wave of innovation in the smartphone industry in the coming weeks.
