Candidates who have successfully cleared the CLAT 2024 are now qualified to participate in the counseling process, adhering to the rank list and admissions matrix provided by each National Law University (NLU).

Commencing today, December 11, the registration process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2024 counseling is underway, with a deadline set for 10 pm on December 20. The recently disclosed CLAT 2024 results, announced on December 10, revealed the top-ranking student as a male candidate from Rajasthan.

This examination serves as the gateway for admissions to both five-year integrated Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs scheduled to commence in the academic year 2024-2025 across participating National Law Universities (NLU). Successful candidates are now eligible to participate in the admissions counseling process, adhering to the rank list and admissions matrix provided by each NLU. General category candidates securing a seat are required to make a payment of Rs 30,000, while candidates from the ST, SC, OBC, BC, EWS, and PWD categories must pay Rs 20,000.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Eligible candidates will receive an email invitation for the Admissions Counseling Process at their registered email addresses, as stated in the official notice. Additionally, an SMS notification will be sent to their registered mobile numbers, accompanied by an invitation on their CLAT 2024 portal. To proceed, candidates need to log in to their CLAT account on the Consortium of NLUs website and validate their counseling invitation during each round.

Candidates securing a seat at any NLU can exercise the ‘Freeze,’ ‘Float,’ or ‘Exit’ options in a counseling round. The ‘Float’ option is valid until the fourth round of counseling and is unavailable for the fifth and final round. The last allotted seat at that point is considered final, prompting candidates to choose either to “Freeze” or “Exit” the admissions counseling process.

SEAT ALLOTMENT SCHEDULE

The seat allotment lists release schedule is as follows: the first on December 26 at 10 am, the second on January 8, the third on January 22, the fourth on May 20, and the fifth and final one on May 28.
