Aspiring Candidates for JAM 2024 Exam on February 11, 2024, Gain Access to Mock Tests on jam.iitm.ac.in

IIT Madras, the Indian Institute of Technology, has released mock tests for all seven papers of the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2024. With the examination scheduled for Sunday, February 11, 2024, candidates can now access the mock tests on jam.iitm.ac.in.

Having closed the application window, the next significant date for aspirants is Monday, January 8, when JAM 2024 admit cards will be issued. The mock tests provide candidates with a valuable opportunity to acquaint themselves with the exam pattern and evaluate their preparation levels.

KEY POINTS FOR JAM 2024 MOCK TEST

The examination will be administered in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, with questions presented to candidates in a random sequence. The duration of the exam is three hours, and the medium of instruction is English. Each paper comprises 60 questions, totaling 100 marks. The paper is divided into three sections—A, B, and C—each containing compulsory questions.

Section-wise Breakdown

Section A : There are 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in total, consisting of 10 questions with one mark each and 20 questions with two marks each. Each MCQ presents four choices, with only one of them being the correct answer.

Section B : There are 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), each carrying two marks. Candidates can achieve full marks by selecting all the correct answers while avoiding incorrect choices.

Section C: There are 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, comprising 10 one-mark and 10 two-mark questions. In NAT questions, candidates are required to enter a signed real number using the virtual numeric keypad.
