BOARD EXAMS TWICE A YEAR
The New Curriculum Framework (NCF), introduced by the Ministry of Education in August, brings a significant change to the board examination system. Under this framework, board examinations are now scheduled to occur twice a year. The purpose behind this modification is to afford students ample time and opportunities to showcase their academic achievements, providing flexibility by allowing them to retain the highest score attained.
In October, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan clarified that the participation of students in the Class 10 and 12 board exams twice a year will not be mandatory. He emphasized that this option is introduced to alleviate the stress associated with the anxiety of having only a single opportunity. In the current academic year, the CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 Board exams commenced on February 15, 2023. The CBSE Class 10 board exams 2023 concluded on March 21, while CBSE Class 12 board exams 2023 ended on April 5.
