The University of Arizona extends the Global Wildcat Award to incoming freshmen and transfer students. Those interested in these scholarships can submit their applications through the official University of Arizona website at everywhere.arizona.edu. These scholarships offer students the opportunity to receive awards ranging from $5,500 to $22,000 per academic year. The University of Arizona assists students in estimating various costs, including tuition, fees, books, living expenses, and mandatory health insurance.

To be eligible for consideration for a Global Wildcat First-Year Award, all you need to do is submit your completed admission application by the application deadline. Typically, the award must be utilized in the semester for which it was initially offered.

Eligibility

  • A limited number of merit-based scholarships will be granted to international students based on their admission application and outstanding academic records and test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, and PTE Academic).
  • Offers are non-negotiable and will not be increased to match offers from other institutions. They will remain the same as the initial offer for continuing students, even if a student improves their GPA at Arizona.
  • These awards are exclusively for undergraduate studies.
  • Conditionally admitted students who enroll in the CESL U-Track Pathway and successfully complete one semester in the program, then enroll full-time at the University of Arizona the following semester, will receive the scholarship they would have originally qualified for.
  • If a student is classified as an Arizona resident, the scholarship will be adjusted to cover a proportional amount of resident tuition if eligible.
  • It’s essential to note that this award cannot be combined with any other tuition award, including National Merit Finalist, National Scholar, Transfer Tuition Scholarship, Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, some ROTC Tuition Awards, the Arizona-Sonoran Tuition Award, any sponsored students, and some departmental tuition awards, depending on type and amount. Students who do not meet the standard minimum renewal criteria outlined above but maintain the following requirements will be granted an automatic grace period for the following academic year.
