In a recent Mann Ki Baat radio broadcast, PM Narendra Modi announced the commencement of the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign to pay tribute to the courageous martyrs of the nation in the lead-up to Independence Day. The campaign will entail various programs held nationwide to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Amrit Kalash Yatra:
As part of the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign, an Amrit Kalash Yatra will be organized. This yatra will carry soil in 7,500 Kalash from villages and different parts of the country, reaching Delhi. Additionally, plants from various regions will also be part of the yatra. An “Amrit Vatika” will be established near the National War Memorial, utilizing the soil and plants from these 7,500 Kalash.
Har Ghar Tiranga: Hoisting the Tricolor at Every Home
PM Modi urged the citizens to hoist the tricolor at their homes, similar to the previous “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiative, to honor the countless sacrifices made for the nation’s freedom and to value the significance of independence.
