WhatsApp Unveils Latest Feature: In-App Sticker Maker Now Accessible for iPhone Users; Learn How to Create Stickers

Technology

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature enabling users to create, edit, and share their own stickers directly within the app, starting today for iOS users. This enhancement aims to infuse a playful element into conversations and animate group jokes. Users can now effortlessly turn their photos into stickers or personalize existing ones without leaving the app or resorting to unofficial third-party applications. Moreover, this feature maintains the security of WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption.

The process of crafting stickers is both simple and user-friendly, incorporating an auto-crop function and a range of editing tools such as text, drawing, and the capability to overlay other stickers. Once a sticker is sent, it is automatically saved in the sticker tray for convenient future use.

To create a sticker, users can open the sticker tray, select ‘create sticker,’ choose an image from their gallery, customize it, and send. Editing an existing sticker follows a similar process, requiring users to long-press the sticker they wish to edit and select ‘edit sticker.’

While the sticker maker feature is already accessible on WhatsApp Web, it will gradually roll out on iOS 17+ over the upcoming days. However, users with older iOS versions will have the ability to edit existing stickers but won’t be able to create new ones.
