Ola’s Bhavish Aggarwal announced the much-anticipated launch of Krutrim AI on X (formerly Twitter). In a video address, he extended an invitation to witness the unveiling, emphasizing that Krutrim AI is set to ‘put the power of AI in the hands of 1.4 billion people.’ The live stream of the launch is scheduled to commence at 2:30 PM today and can be accessed either through the embedded video below or on Krutrim’s official YouTube channel.

Positioned as “India’s first full-stack AI,” Krutrim is said to be built on local Indian knowledge, languages, and data, presenting itself as a homegrown alternative to Western products. Bhavish Aggarwal, in his X post, shared an invite in multiple languages, showcasing the AI tool’s capability to work seamlessly with various regional languages, including English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Marathi.

The invite expressed the company’s commitment to launching “India’s own AI Krutrim,” with a vision to transform industries and lives while empowering 1.4 billion people with the potential of AI. Bhavish Aggarwal has previously emphasized the need for India to have its own AI, highlighting that existing large language models are predominantly trained on non-Indian data. He stressed the importance of training AI in various ‘Bharatiya languages.’
