Applications are invited from candidates meeting the qualifications mentioned below for the appointment to the post of Finance Officer at the University. The appointment can be made through direct recruitment or deputation from the Government of Kerala or Government of India service. The qualifications must have a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade, along with a minimum of 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor or in educational administration. Desirable qualifications include being an Associate Member/Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or passing the final examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
The scale of pay for the position is Rs. 1,44,200 – 2,18,200 (UGC). The age limit for candidates is between 40 and 54 years at the time of notification. The appointment will be for a period of four years from the date of joining the office or until the candidate reaches the age of fifty-six, whichever is earlier, as per the terms and conditions prescribed by the Kannur University First Statutes 1998.
Candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 2000 along with the application form. The application form can be downloaded from the official website of Kannur University. The application fee can be paid via Demand Draft drawn in favor of Finance Officer, Kannur University, payable at State Bank of India, South Bazar Branch, Kannur, or through State Bank of India Collect. The filled application form, along with supporting documents and the original receipt of the application fee, should reach the Registrar, Kannur University, Thavakkara Campus, Civil Station P.O., Kannur-670 002, on or before July 31, 2023, 5 pm. Candidates applying on a deputation basis must submit their applications through proper channels. The envelope containing the filled application should be named with “Application for the post of Finance Officer.”
